Come enjoy a meal created and hosted by a Kits neighbour.
Tonight's meal will be hosted by Derek Irland near 3rd and Cypress. Open to anyone, the drop-ins are especially aimed at neighbours living close to the host (within 2 or 3 blocks).
This is the 5th in a series of several dinners taking place between July and November, and is supported by a Green Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Vancouver Foundation (administered by Kits Neighbourhood House), to increase awareness of our food sources and promote community connections.
They’re called Drop-in “Spaghetti” nights, because many of the ones we've held in the past have involved serving spaghetti. Each meal, however, is different, depending on what the host wants to serve. Tonight's meal can accommodate vegetarians.
Limited to 7 participants. Exact address will be emailed a couple days before the dinner to everyone who RSVP's here or to ross@villagevancouver.ca.
The source of the ingredients will be tracked, and we'll collate how local our eating habits are at a community- wide Drop-in "Spaghetti" gathering on November 29th.

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
