This year is the 20th anniversary since the first Earth Summit, and our government has taken the unprecedented step of excluding civil society from the Canadian delegation heading to Rio+20.
Our voices are being silenced by our own government, but We Canada is speaking out on behalf of Canadians!
We Canada represents the Canadian Earth Summit Coalition who recommend the Canadian government adopt threes policies towards global sustainability:
Measuring What Matters – Going beyond GDP
Getting the Prices Right – Eliminating fossil fuel subsidies and putting a price on carbon
Making Trade Fair – Canadian fair trade procurement
Help re-ignite the Rio spirit and lend your voice to We Canada's message to the world!

Keep up-to-date with Rio+20 tweets!
Send a letter telling the Canadian government DON'T SHOW UP! unless you are willing to put sustainable development on the forefront of the federal agenda!
Join me to discuss these issues, or host your own We Canada Dialogue!
Whether you see sustainable development as a health issue, an environment issue, a social issue, an equality issue, a political issue, or a global issue - you’re right!
Together, WE CAN address all of these challenges and make ourselves heard!
Village engages individuals, neighbourhoods & organizations to take actions that build sustainable communities & have fun doing it. Join us!

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
