Event Description

With the increasing density and cost of living in inner-city Vancouver, is there still a place for community gardens or even urban farms? Starting at Thornton Park and ending at Charleson Park, we will stop by a few different community gardens, urban farms & an urban orchard to discuss the various models of community/communal gardens and their place in the livelihood of the communities living in this area. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

This Neighbourhood Small Grant Project was funded by the Vancouver Foundation and administered by Mount Pleasant & Little Mountain Neighbourhood Houses. (neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca)

Thanks also to Village Vancouver and Fairview False Creek South Neighbourhood Food Network. (villagevancouver.ca)
