Event Description

A FREE, facilitated discussion to:

-explore and share thoughts, feelings and plans regarding possible impacts on us of ecological collapse;

-help find meaning and clarity in this uncertain world and, together, help build our resilience.

Facilitator:  Fred Bass is a community medicine physician whose past work focused on tobacco addiction and who served on Vancouver city council from 1999 to 2005.

Pre-registration is necessary to limit the number to 12 participants to provide everyone a full chance to speak. Specifics about location provided to those who register.

TO ENQUIRE OR REGISTER:

email   ecoresiliencecanada@gmail.com

call/text         (604) 657-1481

Again, pre-registration is required, so please invite friends to register but not show up at last minute.  Thanks.

a word of caution:  Persons who are vulnerable to depression or other mental health issues, or who have had a recent major personal loss, should delay participation until they are encouraged to do so from a counsellor, health professional or supportive friend.

Further info:  Five Eco-resilience workshops were held in 2019, from January to May.  Despite the seriousness of this subject, each of the 5 groups felt positive and energized at the close of the workshop.

Follow-up will take the form of "Eco-resilience Gatherings" to begin in 2020 providing those interested an opportunity to socialize, to share announcements and to join a discussion led by people with key experience in building community-level, Transition-Town/ Village-Vancouver style resilience.

All you Villagers,

There is still room for a few Villagers besides myself who's facilitating.

And the non-Villagers registered for this Monday night are interesting people.

May we all find peace (today),

Fred Bass
