The first cooperatively owned community solar project in BC was installed this summer. Come learn how you can invest in this and other local solar energy projects.
In Europe hundreds of thousands of people are owners of community renewable energy systems. And they receive regular payments from the energy generated. Here in Canada the concept is relatively new. This will be an opportunity to learn how these projects could work in BC, how you can get involved. You will also have the chance to offer your input on how we can make more of these projects happen.
When: Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
Register for the event at:
Solshare Energy is a co-operative controlled corporation with the goal of growing community-based renewable electricity generation in BC by engaging residents and investors in projects that offer financial, social, and environmental returns. Solshare Energy is a project of Vancouver Renewable Energy Co-operative. We own solar energy systems that residents of BC can invest in. Investors receive dividends based on the energy produced.
