ABERTHAU COMMUNITY PERMACULTURE/ECO ART GARDEN
Hosted by VV, the multi-generational garden includes our Collabrative Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and art/garden projects by artists-in-residence LocoMotoArt/other resident/local artists.

Emphasizing permaculture design elements, inc. a small hugelkultur/herb spiral/planting pollinator attractants/saving open pollinated seeds, the garden offers fun, inclusive social, educational, culinary and cultural activities for community members. Enjoy free/low-cost cooking, fermenting, preserving and DIY demonstrations, inc. canning, fermented sodas, and making tofu and paneer, timely gardening workshops like early summer gardening and vertical gardening, wonder of the bees, native edibles walks, a seed savers club, and Saturday morning gardening and the Open House and a Harvest Fest.

In the garden, newer gardeners garden collaboratively alongside more experienced gardeners at our gardening parties, providing a learning experience for everyone. Info/to get involved: visit our Aberthau Garden page or email ross@villagevancouver.ca.

Organized/led by seniors, VV ElderGreens brings seniors/youth/others together to share food/gardening skills/wisdom thru workshops/other activities. All ages welcome, contact us to get involved.

The Open House is part of VV's Building Community Food Security and Resilience Project. This project is made possible by the BC Ministry of Agriculture's Grow Local program. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Agriculture.

Coming soon: WESTSIDE FOOD FEST July 5-Aug 9. 85+ free workshops/other activities @20 locations, inc Aberthau.
